In a world where loneliness, isolation, and mistrust of other people is rampant, genuine connection is a subversive act. As followers of Jesus, we take seriously Jesus’ commandment to love each other. One important aspect of this, is spending time with one another socially. We call this fellowship.
For Fall 2021, we’ve adapted Coffee Hour. We will be serving coffee and donuts on the lawn (weather permitting) from 9:25am to 9:55am, conveniently placed between our 9am Family Service on the lawn and our 10am Holy Eucharist Service in the church. It is an important time! Come enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a donut. Talk to someone you might not know, or connect with friends you’ve known for years. The children of our parish love coffee hour, there’s always something for them also.
During the the Summer months, it is a time honored tradition to enjoy an evening together in the yard or on the lawn. This is our version of that. Once a month on warm summer nights we gather on our lawn with our favorite beverage and a snack to share, and enjoy each other’s company.
COVID-19 has curtailed the frequency of our Happy Hour events. We look forward to getting together in this way again in Spring 2022!
