If you have any last minute donations for our Celebration Cake Kits, please bring them in by this Sunday, November 13th, as we will be assembling parts, checking kits for completion and getting a final count during coffee hour following the 10AM service.

THANK YOU to all who have contributed so far. The response has been wonderful!

Project Share

Bi-Monthly Dinners

Our dinner deliveries to Project Share continue to be well received. Thank you to all who continue to contribute to the needed ministry. Open needs for our next meal delivery on November 22 are:

  • Sweet treat – brownies, cookies and cupcakes are favorites, but you do you.
  • Cold beverages – three gallons of Tea Cooler from Swiss Farms, or Iced Tea/Lemonade from a store of your choosing.

Food needs to be ready in time for delivery on Tuesdays at 1:30pm. Entrées should be fully cooked, but they do not have to be hot at time of pickup (just not frozen). You do not have to make delivery yourself. Someone from the Outreach team can arrange to pick up the food and deliver to Project Share.

If you are unable to help with the November 22nd meal, there are other openings on both December 6 and December 20. You can see what’s needed on our SignUpGenius page, or talk to Cassie or Katie to offer assistance.

Advent Bags

We are in our final week for collecting items for this year’s Advent Bags. We still need:

  • Fanny packs
  • Men’s regular underwear in sizes Large and Extra Large
  • Women’s regular underwear in sizes 7 to 10

We are collecting items from now through next Sunday, November 20 and we will be filling the bags on that day, following the 10AM service. Fr. James will ask God’s blessing on the Advent bags during services on November 27 and they will be distributed that week.

If you are purchasing items online you can choose to ship items to the church. Please mark the package as Attention: Outreach. Thanks!

From Fr. James’ Stewardship Season letter: “Real thanksgiving is not static. The crazy thing about gratitude for the blessings you have is that it makes you want to give what you have away. A big part of living a life of thanksgiving is to understand that when you hold too tightly to your blessings they become curses. When you grasp too tightly at your worldly possessions, they grasp too tightly to you and you are no longer free.”

Please make your pledge by November 20th using a pledge card from your newsletter envelope or from the narthex table, or by using this link to Realm:

Plan now to attend Evening Prayer on Wednesday, November 23rd beginning at 6:30pm and stay after for a fireside reception in the Memorial Room. Bring an appetizer and/or beverage to share and start the holiday season off right with your church family.

Just four weeks remain until December 18, the date of the Holy Apostles Christmas Pageant. Time flies. If your child wants to take part in the Pageant, please email Peter Patton,, or Joe Zorc,

Parent volunteers are also very welcome. We look forward to hearing from you.

Anyone with a bit of choir experience is invited to join Holy Apostles’ choir for the Christmas season. This would take a limited commitment of time but would yield a great deal of fun and meaning. Contact the office – 610-642-6617 or – to volunteer of for more information. Or visit Jamie at the organ bench on Sunday! Click here to listen to the anthem from last week, pictured above.

The following limited commitment is needed:

  • Sundays in Advent (Sunday at 8:50AM, rehearsal and liturgy)
  • Sunday, November 27, 2022
  • Sunday, December 4, 2022
  • Sunday, December 11, 2022 (Bishop’s Visit)
  • Sunday, December 18, 2022
  • Saturday, Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022 @ 10PM service
  • 1 Saturday morning rehearsal in December – to be determined by the choir

Pockets of Hope is a non-profit organization providing free mastectomy sweatshirts for after surgery. They will be using the Parish Hall this Saturday, November 12 from 9am to 12 pm for a time of group sewing. If you know how to sew and are interested in helping sew pockets into zip up hoodies for women recovering from their mastectomy surgery, come join us – just bring your sewing machine. Check out @_pocketsofhope on Instagram. Questions?

Prior to dismantling and storing the event tent, it needs a good cleaning. If you would like to help with this task, please plan to meet on the front lawn at 9am this Saturday, November 12th. Jean could use another 1-2 folks to help with this task. Once the tent is clean and dry we will be looking to disassemble it and move it to storage following services on November 20. Assistance will be needed for that task as well.

Tent cleaning not your thing? No worries – we have other ways you can help! We have received delivery of two sets of storage shelving. One set has been placed in the closet off of the narthex for collection of Outreach donations. The pieces of the second set are currently in the choir room. These shelves need to be assembled and put in the attic, and the items in the attic need labeling and rearranging. If organization is one of your gifts, please join us this Saturday, November 12th, starting at 9am.

Have something you’d like to contribute to the the December newsletter – an article, poem, announcement, etc.? Please send your submission to the office no later than Friday, November 25 for inclusion in this month’s edition of The Apostle.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.
