DARBY MISSION

March 16th Food Giveaway Drive
Once again this month we are collecting pasta sauce – any brand or variety – for the Darby Food Giveaway. You can leave your donations in the back of the church, or in the Can-estoga wagon by the tent on Sundays – even though it’s jars and not cans! Deadline: Tuesday, March 15 for a timely delivery to the mission!
PROJECT SHARE
Our Current Drives:
- Apostle’s Cup Coffee – after purchasing some for yourself you can donate an extra bag to Project Share. $4 of every purchase goes directly to the Darby Mission to fund their various projects. You can help two of our Outreach partners with one purchase!
- Socks – socks, boots and gently used winter coats
- Soup – cans of hearty/chunky soups for the lunch program.
- Corks – we are collecting these for craft projects at Project Share and the Darby summer camps to build bird houses
- Girl Scout Cookies – sure it’s hard to part with them, but if you’re willing, we’ll take your donated cookies to Project Share to add to the other lunch goodies we’re supplying. This is the last week to purchase Girl Scout Cookies for 2022. Don’t miss out! See announcement below for Emma Gallagher’s cookie link!

+ LENTEN STUDY 2022 – QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL
See James’ note in the March Newsletter (in your mailbox and also linked on our website at HolyApostlesPA.org/quest) for complete details of this year’s study.
This Wednesday, March 9 – videos for the first part of our study – “The Mystic Path” – will be posted on Wednesday afternoon to our Facebook page (facebook.com/holyapostlespa) and to our website (holyapostlespa.org/quest)
Next Sunday, March 13 – the first discussion group for “The Mystic Path” will be held in person at the church after the 10AM service. So get your coffee and your sweet treat and stay a little longer. We plan to meet under the tent. Please view the videos prior to the discussion group meeting.
+ Lenten Resources
Remember to visit HolyApostlesPA.org/Quest for links to online resources for study and reflection on the themes of Communion and the Blood of Christ. These resources will be gleaned from a variety of sources and viewpoints and with different audiences in mind, including children. New resources will be posted each Tuesday and Thursday in Lent.
+ MEMORIAL ROOM USE
As we return to more in-person gatherings, please be reminded of the following:
- Please notify the office (holyapostlespa@gmail.com or 610-642-6617) of the date and time of your use of the room so it can be put on the church calendar.
- If you are meeting when the daycare is in session (7am-6pm weekdays) you must wear a mask and a Church Member or Visitor badge while you are in the building hallways. Badges can be obtained from the church office upon arrival.
- During daycare hours, please enter and leave the building by the main office doors only. If you need access via the kitchen door for mobility issues, please contact the office upon arrival and you can be escorted in.
- Please straighten the room before leaving, being sure to turn off all lights and lock the door behind you.
Thank you for your consideration and understanding!
+ APOSTLE’S CUP COFFEE
Bags of Apostle’s Cup coffee continue to be available for purchase on Sundays and from the church office during regular church hours. Bags are $15 each and $4 of every purchase goes directly to the Darby Mission to support their efforts in the community.
In addition to purchasing coffee for your own use, you can purchase bags as donations for use at the Darby Mission meals or for Project Share.
+ COFFEE HOUR IS BACK!
Join us between the 9AM and 10AM services, or after the 10AM service for some coffee, donuts and fellowship time out on the lawn. Assistance with the cleanup process afterwards is greatly appreciated.
Donuts, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are provided by us, but if you would like to bring a sweet treat to share, please feel free to do so!
+ MASKS IN CHURCH BUILDING
While our Vestry has determined that the requirement for wearing a mask during indoor church services will be based on the Montgomery County positive test rate falling below 7.0%, masks must continue to be worn in the building whenever Little Friends Daycare is in session. Thank you for your understanding and care for the young children in our midst.
