Morning Prayer – Mon, Tue, Wed and Thurs at 9:15AM
Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer is a beautiful service and is very ancient. The Daily Office is simply a cycle of prayer services that are prayed at set hours of the day. If you cannot join us in person, you can pray Morning Prayer at home. The service begins on p. 75 in the BCP.

A note from Cassie Woestman, Outreach Chair:
We managed to provide lunch or complete dinners for more than 120 of our extended community in Darby and Upper Darby this past Tuesday (1/4/22). I continue to be amazed and blessed by the generosity of this congregation. It gives me confidence to offer assistance as I know you will always come through to meet the needs set before us.
We would like to be able to offer lunches to Project Share for the next three Mondays so we are looking for volunteers to provide 20 grilled cheese sandwiches and some brownies for each of the next three weeks. Outreach can proved the cheese and bread for sandwiches. We are accepting donations of bags of Apostle’s Cup for Project Share as well.
Contact me via email (grammysqrd@gmail.com) or text (610-608-5440)!
DARBY MISSION
Darby Dinner |
We are still planning on hosting the February 2 Darby Dinner and hope to return to in-person food delivery and serving at that time. Please contact Cassie (610-608-5440) to volunteer to provide food and/or service. |
Ties & Shoelaces
We will continue to collect ties and shoelaces for the mission and deliver them as soon as we are able.

PROJECT SHARE
Lunches |
We will be providing lunches to our friends at Project Share during the month of January. The first week is covered (thanks, Michelle Gallagher!) but we still have openings for the rest of the month. Please contact Cassie (610-608-5440) if you can help out. |
Gently Used Coats; new N95 Masks
Our Project Share coordinator, Kim, has let us know that they could make very good use of some gently used winter coats and a supply of good masks. The coats can be for adult men or women, larger sizes are best. We’ll be collecting them at the back of the church. If you can’t drop them by yourself, please contact Cassie (610-608-5440) or Katie (610-642-6670) to arrange for pickup.

+ ANNUAL PARISH BUSINESS MEETING
SUNDAY JANUARY 30th @ 11:45 AM
Please mark your calendar and plan to join us. This year’s meeting will be held on Zoom in the interest of protecting everyone’s health. We will be voting on new Vestry members and the 2022 budget. Meet with us at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/233415613?pwd=dTBDeUhrUUdSak9MS3RUaXdDSDhpUT09
+ BLESSED CHALK
With the cancellation of our Feast of the Epiphany service, the chalk blessing and chalking of the church doors will occur on Sunday, 1/16. At that time, there will be a supply of blessed chalk available in the narthex for those who wish to chalk their own doors for the new year. If you would like blessed chalk but cannot get to the church building, please contact the parish office.
On Epiphany, or any day of the season of Epiphany, it is traditional to write on one’s front doors with chalk in a pattern such as 20 ✝ C ✝ M ✝ B ✝ 22, with the numbers referring “to the calendar year (20 and 22, for instance, for this year, 2022); the crosses stand for Christ; and the letters have a two-fold significance: C, M and B are the initials for the traditional names of the Magi: Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar, but they are also an abbreviation of the Latin blessing Christus mansionem benedicat, which means, May Christ bless this house.” Source: Chalking the door
+ APOSTLE’S CUP
While we will not be holding coffee hour during this latest surge of Covid, we will continue to have bags of Apostle’s Cup coffee available for purchase between the 9AM and 10AM services. Bags are $15 each and $4 of every purchase goes directly to the Darby Mission to support their efforts in the community. In addition to purchasing coffee for your own use, you can purchase and designate bags for donation for use at the Darby Mission meals or for Project Share. You can also purchase Apostle’s Cup online directly from the House Cup website.
+ GODLY PLAYROOM
Now that the Godly Playroom has been restored to its former glory with the excellent paint job, it’s time to replace the items that belong in that room. Currently, they’re residing in the Memorial Room. So here’s the plan: if you come by the church at any time on the weekends, please wander into the Memorial Room and find something you can carry and take it back to the Godly Playroom. Not sure where exactly in the playroom the item belongs? That’s ok – just getting them out of the Memorial Room and into the playroom is a great first step. If everyone who comes by picks up at least one item, we’ll have things back where they belong in no time!
+ CHURCH KITCHEN PROJECT
The time has come to tackle the church kitchen! As we have not used it regularly due to COVID restrictions, things have become a bit disarrayed. Cassie Woestman, Judy Jervis and Katie Gentile will be tackling this project on Saturday, February 5 beginning at 9AM. The goal is to reorganize needed items, dispose of broken/unusable items and label the cabinets. If you would like to help, please mark your calendar for February 5 and plan to join us!
+ MAY WE PRAY FOR YOU?
