DARBY MISSION

Darby Dinner
Due to the uptick in COVID cases, the Darby Mission is severely limiting contact through mid-January. However, they also need a food sponsor for the Darby Dinner this week – which is a vital source for many of their clients. Doris, Cassie and James have hatched a plan. We’re going to have catered individual boxed dinners that Doris can distribute on Jan. 4. That way people can take them home, eat outside the community center if the weather is nice, etc. It also means we won’t have to serve a meal buffet style. Given the short notice, we thought this would be most simple way to go about it. If you would like to help defray the cost of this endeavor, we are collecting cash or checks with the memo of Darby Dinner during coffee hour today.

We are still planning on hosting the February 2 Darby Dinner and hope to return to in-person food delivery and serving at that time.

Ties & Shoelaces

We will continue to collect ties and shoelaces for the mission and deliver them as soon as we are able.

PROJECT SHARE

Lunches
We will be providing lunches to our friends at Project Share during the month of January. The first week is covered (thanks, Michelle Gallagher!) but we still have openings for the rest of the month. Please contact Cassie (610-608-5440) if you can help out.

Gently Used Coats; N95 Masks

Our Project Share coordinator, Kim, has let us know that they could make very good use of some gently used winter coats and a supply of good masks. The coats can be for adult men or women, larger sizes are best. We’ll be collecting them at the back of the church. If you can’t drop them by yourself, please contact Cassie (610-608-5440) or Katie (610-642-6670) to arrange for pickup.

+ SEASON OF EPIPHANY
Thursday, January 6th, is the Feast of the Epiphany – the start of the season of Epiphany which will take us all the way to Lent. We will be celebrating with a 6:30PM service of Holy Eucharist. We will be using incense during the service. Please plan to join us either in person or on our YouTube Channel.

+ ANNUAL PARISH BUSINESS MEETING
