The school year has begun and with it a new church program year. I am extremely excited about our 9am Jesus and Donuts service starting this Sunday and continuing every Sunday through the Fall. This Sunday we will be joined by a representative of House Cup Coffee Roasters who be introducing us to our own special Holy Apostles blend of gourmet coffee. If you’d like to participate in the short outdoor family service come at 9am, be sure to stay for fresh delicious coffee and donuts. If you’d like to participate in our 10 am service, then please come early and get some fresh delicious coffee and donuts.
Next Tuesday, confirmation class begins. I am calling it Confirmation and Dragons. If you are, or you know, a young person ages 12-16 who would like to learn more about their baptismal promise, the Christian faith, and wants also to play dungeons and dragons with us, let me know. There’s still time to sign up. I don’t think I can adequately express how much fun this is going to be.
Between preparing an extra lesson for the family service and preparing for confirmation class, I need to cut a couple of weekly tasks. Going forward, then, I will not be writing this Note on a weekly basis, but will use this space for occasional announcements. I will continue to share an article every month in our print newsletter. I am so grateful to continue serving God and the church with you this program year. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
