Children & Youth
Don’t miss our annual EASTER EGG HUNT, immediately following the Easter Sunday Service! If you’d like to help, please contact Judy Jervis.
Confirmation classes are being held the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 5:00 p.m. All children and youth 5th grade and up (at parent’s discretion) are welcome to attend, even those who are not seeking confirmation.
Nursery Childcare is available during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service for children ages 3 and younger in the Godly Play Room.
Sunday School classes (preschool – 2nd grade and 3rd – 8th grade) are held routinely on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month, beginning at 10:00 a.m., the same time as the church service starts; children join their parents in the church in time for communion. On 2nd Sundays children attend church with their parents, either the 10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist service or the 5:30 p.m. Family Worship Service. When there is a 5th Sunday, children attend church with their parents, with some of the children taking part in leading the service.
Adult Education
The last of our Lenten Study Series on prayer will be held this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. If you haven’t been able to make it to previous sessions, don’t worry, come anyway! A simple soup supper is provided.
Outreach & Service
This year we will be collecting a Good Friday offering at all our services on Friday, March 30 (see schedule above). This special offering will join offerings from all over the Episcopal church to benefit the Anglican Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East, our fellow members of the Anglican Communion. This money will be used to promote peace and mutual understanding through pastoral care, health care, and educational programs throughout the region. Parish Life
Easter Flower Memorials: Easter is April 1st this year. Please send to the parish office the names of those deceased loved ones in whose memories you would like to donate flowers for Easter. The requested donation is $5.00 per name.
Holy week is right around the corner. There are several sign-up sheets in the parish hall. One is for attendance of the Maundy Thursday Agape meal and Eucharist. This is just to give the Fellowship committee an idea of how much food to provide. Please do sign up, but if you forget, come anyway!
If you would like to help provide refreshments for our TWO Easter services, please sign up in the parish hall. The Great Vigil of Easter, March 31 at 8:00 p.m., will be followed by a sparkling wine reception. The Easter Sunday Festival Eucharist will be followed by an even more spectacular than normal coffee hour. Please sign-up if you’d like to help.
If you visit the church during the week (and we hope you do!), please use the red double doors nearest the church offices. Please take special care to lock doors behind you, and ensure that they latch properly. Doors that are not locked or completely shut are a very serious safety concern for Little Friends Daycare. Thank you!
The parish office will be closed both April 2nd and April 3rd, the Monday and Tuesday following Easter Sunday.
