Sunday, October 22, 2017: Holy Eucharist II at 10:00 a.m. Our guest celebrant is the Rev. Canon Betsy Ivey. James Stambaugh, our Deacon-in-Charge, will serve as Deacon and Preacher.
Morning Prayer In the church. 8:00 a.m., Tuesday through Friday.
Commemoration of the Faithful Departed Thursday, November 2nd at 6:00 p.m. A special service of prayer including a procession to our columbarium where prayers will be said for all those interred there. The service also will include commemoration and prayers for all our loved ones who have passed. If you have names of the departed you would like included, please submit them to holyapostlespa@gmail.com or by hand/mail to the parish office before November 1st.
VETERANS MASS on November 13th, sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania Veterans Ministry: Monday, November 13th, 7:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 19 South 10th Street, Philadelphia 19107. All are welcome. Dinner before service at 5:30 p.m. Three people from Holy Apostles are planning to attend. Let Deacon James know if you would like to join us. RSVP required! To add the name of a veteran to the prayer list for this service, please email veterans@diopa.org (please indicate if the veteran is deceased).
Children & Youth
Childcare is available during the 10:00 service for children ages 3 and younger in the Godly Play Room.
Outreach & Service
The Sunday School will once again be running a drive to collect Treats for Troops stationed overseas. The collection will run through Veteran’s Day weekend, Sunday November 12th. A list of needed items (Halloween candy, toiletries, sundries) is posted in the church hall or at the link below.
Education
The Christian Year: The Strange and Wondrous Rhythms of the Church Calendar. Our first adult and older teen study group “mini-series” is swiftly approaching. These exciting and interactive classes will be held on Wednesday Nov. 1st, 8th, and 15th at 6:30 p.m. We will meet in our newly renovated and technologically advanced Memorial Room. If anyone would like to help coordinate refreshments please let Deacon James know.
Parish Life
Today is the beginning of our annual Stewardship Season, Celebrating God’s Good Gifts! This is a time when we reflect on and celebrate the gifts that God has given us, and consider how we can offer thanksgiving back to God.

New Committee- Family Friendly Holy Apostles Please contact Beth Johnson if you are interested in being a part of a group to look at how we can make Holy Apostles more Family Friendly to visitors of Holy Apostles so they will want to visit us again!
